THE DUSE ROOM. PART III
The permanent space dedicated to the great Italian actress, in the year of the centenary, is included for the first time in the guided tours offered by the Giorgio Cini Foundation.
From March to December 2024, the Duse Room will host the third and final event of a trilogy of exhibitions dedicated to Duse’s relationship with the city of Venice (2022), with the Italian theater scene of her time (2023), and finally, with artists and theater worldwide (2024). Through period prints, photographs, posters, writings dedicated to her, and other materials, visitors will be guided to discover one of the most illustrious chapters in the history of Italian theater. The Eleonora Duse Room, open and visitable since 2011, is a space dedicated to the memory of the great Italian actress; a place designed to make the precious heritage preserved in the Duse archive accessible to the public through temporary exhibitions. For the first time since its opening, the Eleonora Duse Room, in the year of the centenary, is included in the guided tours offered by the Giorgio Cini Foundation.
